Description

A powerful red wine, based on a clever combination: that of Syrah, distinguished for its spicy power, with Agiorgitiko, which gives a velvety… tsachpinia. The result is worth trying. It goes wonderfully with meats cooked with spicy sauces, game and yellow cheeses. It is a wine with great aging potential. The use of a carafe is recommended.

Winemaking: Harvesting during the night, when the grapes are at their optimum ripeness, aims to preserve the aromatic and phenolic potential of each variety. The correct application of extraction in the pre- and post-fermentation stages helps to extract this potential. The juice is then transferred by gravity to oak barrels, where it remains for 12 months, while its maturation includes 8-10 months in the bottle.
Wine characteristics: Attractive purple colour. Complex bouquet consisting of aromas of jam, plum, notes of butterscotch and coffee, to end in a discreet background of spices. Its mouth is distinguished by the balanced combination of alcohol, acidity and tannins that gives it harmony and volume, while its long-lasting aftertaste is dominated by overripe fruits and cinnamon.
Ideal serving temperature: 17-18 °C.
