Description
Starting in 1879, the Boutari family began a life journey with the wine region of Naoussa. Six generations of winemakers and six generations of viticulturists, from then until today, unite know-how with local tradition in every bottle of Naoussa Boutari. A classic red, vinified with modern techniques, which expresses Xinomavro, this special variety of the North, over time.
Characteristics: Deep red with a strong personality. It reveals a rich bouquet of ripe red fruits, blackberry and plum, which coexist with sun-dried tomato and the aromas of aging, cinnamon and wood. It has a rich body, good balance and structure, with soft tannins on its finish.
Harmony of flavours: Goes well with red meat dishes, such as pork with sun-dried tomatoes and cheese, lamb in a pot in a wood-fired oven, braised veal with pine nuts and raisins. Pasta with red spicy sauces. Yellow cheeses, such as parmesan and feta.
Temperatures: Served at 16-18 °C
