Description
Category: Natural sweet red wine
Varietal composition: Mavrodaphne 70%, Corinthian 30%
Vineyards: Mountainous zone of Patras 300 – 500 m.
Winemaking: After the grapes are picked, they ferment and extract in the tank for approximately 4 days under controlled conditions. The alcoholic fermentation is then stopped by adding alcohol, thus preserving a portion of the grape sugars in the final product. This wine is aged for at least 12 months in large oak barrels to develop its complex aroma.
Aging potential: Ready to drink now, but also with great potential for further aging.
The character: Red color with brick-red highlights. Aromatic notes of dried fruits (plum, fig, raisin). Taste is warm, sweet with a hint of tannins that give structure. Accompany savory dishes (cheese stew), syrupy sweets and fruits.
