It has been a somewhat, unprecedented spring and summer so far for all of us, in the UK and worldwide. Nonetheless, as traveling restrictions are slowly easing globally (with the necessary precautions in place), plenty of you will be planning a quick holiday to your beloved Greece.

As such, we thought we’d compile a small list that might come in very handy for your next trip to the land of Zeus.

Elafonisi, Crete, Greece

Elafonisos – also known as Elafonisi – is a small islet attached to the famous island of Crete. It is connected by a shallow reef that can be crossed when the sea is calm from the town of Chania. It is the perfect setting for a romantic holiday, strolling on the beach, taking photographs, playing water games, and holding hands in the Mediterranean sun. Often called the “lovers spot”, it is definitely a beach you have to visit.

Psarou Beach, Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos is possibly (along with Santorini) one of the most popular islands worldwide. And as such, it is naturally not lacking in beaches—especially those that appeal to just about any taste. Psarou beach might not necessarily be one of the largest, but its “wow” factor is undeniable and its position at the head of a perfect, horseshoe bay, is unbeatable. You will find an abundance of cafes, restaurants, and bars along the sandy beach. There are also plenty of watersports and other activities for thrill-seekers to take advantage of, too, and some gorgeous romantic secret spots for romantic lovers and couples. A must visit, for all Mykonos lovers!

Nauagio, Zakynthos, Greece

Navagio, actually means shipwreck in Greek. The story goes that many years ago, there was a ship that sailed the sea here, which washed up on the beach due to a tragic accident, giving this secluded beach its name. Navagio is situated on the northern side of the Zakynthos island in Greece and is surrounded by stunning white limestone cliffs, crystal-like blue water, and white sand, making this beach one of the most popular in the world. Do remember that it can only be reached by boat and do not forget to also visit the island of Zakynthos, just next door.

So before your next trip to Greece, make sure to choose your next destination carefully to ensure you visit at least one – if not all – of the many dreamlike beaches the country has to offer.
